HitchAid was founded in 2004 by Curtis Thompson, an avid camper who was frustrated with the inconvenience and risks involved with hitching his fifth-wheel to his truck. Curtis put his 30 years of engineering and system design experience to develop the HitchAid system.

HitchAid's objective is to become the leading developer and supplier of innovative portable video systems to improve the safety and convenience of the alignment process when attaching a towable object to a tow vehicle no matter what the application is.
