The applications for HitchAid are virtually limitless. Here are
a few examples of how people can use HitchAid today.
Bumper Pull
The positioning of a ball hitch can be very difficult to see when
you get close to it. HitchAid allows the driver to avoid damaging
their vehicles by approaching too fast or off center. The system
also lets the users position their vehicles without the inconvenience
of getting in and out to align their vehicle with the trailer. It
also eliminates the use of a second person to assist in directing
the driver.
Fifth Wheel
Hitching your fifth wheel is an exact science and HitchAid makes
the process easy and convenient. HitchAid removes the need to get
in and out of the vehicle, it eliminates twisting around trying
to see the hitch area as the driver cannot see the hitch area using
the in-vehicle mirrors. HitchAid allows the driver to easily check
the alignment and proper pin placement on their first attempt.
Goose-neck Trailer
Much like the fifth wheel application, the driver cannot see the
hitch area of a goose-neck trailer using standard mirrors. HitchAid
provides the driver a view of the trailer as it approaches the receiver
area, which allows the driver to make adjustments to complete the
alignment process on the first attempt.
Horse Trailer
Many horse owners have indicated that using HitchAid will be useful
during the hitching process and can be of even more use for monitoring
their horses during transport.
Assist in Backing
HitchAid is also designed for use when backing any type of trailer.
One example is when backing a boat into the water, the driver can
watch the boat to keep it straight and to tell when the boat is
far enough into the water to launch. The camera can also be moved
to the rear of the tow vehicle to assist the driver in maneuvering
into a tight area or to place the trailer in an exact location.
Virtually any situation involving towing
can be made safer and more convenient by using the HitchAid system. |
